The Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol  is responsible for organizing, monitoring and developing the communication and public relations of the Hellenic Parliament, at home and abroad, and informing the Greek and international public opinion on parliamentary matters and activities via print and electronic media, in cooperation with the Press Office and the Parliamentary Information Office.

The Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol  supports the organization and promotion of the activities of the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy, in cooperation with its departments. It also supports the work of the other Directorates of the General Directorate for International and Public Relations, as well as the other General Directorates of the Hellenic Parliament, on the organization of official or non-official missions, visits, conferences, bilateral or multilateral parliamentary meetings with other countries and representatives of organizations and bodies in its headquarters or abroad.

It is also responsible of the Parliament's representation in public ceremonies and events taking place in Greece and sees to the offering of gifts during official visits, meetings at home as well as on missions abroad.

Organizing, planning and monitoring the Hellenic Parliament’s public relations by preparing and coordinating hosting programs for foreign parliamentary delegations visits.

Responsibility for organizing parliamentary conferences and meetings in the framework of the Hellenic Parliament's participation in International Organizations, International Associations, Regional and European Institutions.

Organizing bilateral and multilateral meetings of the Hellenic Parliament’s Vice-Presidents,   the Chairpersons of the Parliamentary Committees and the Friendship Groups with the Diplomatic Corps and their counterparts of foreign parliaments.

Organizing honorary anniversaries and festivities events and awards ceremonies. Participate in the organization of special plenary sessions,  in the opening of exhibitions and workshops that promote culture, raise contemporary concerns, inform and raise awareness of society, acting as communication contact and exchange channel for members of the Parliament, agencies, citizens and vulnerable groups.
 
Collaboration with the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy in order to present the work and the history of the Hellenic Parliament to parliamentary and diplomatic missions and students abroad.

The Department for Protocol and Etiquette is responsible for:

the organisation of the official visits of Speakers of foreign Parliaments as well as the official meetings of the President of the Hellenic Parliament with Heads of state, Prime ministers, heads of European and international organisations, ambassadors and representatives of the Greek diaspora in cooperation with the Directorate for International Affairs and the Directorate for European and bilateral Affairs aiming at the international promotion of the country

the organisation of commemorating and honoring  events, such as National Days, award ceremonies, exhibitions and Special Sessions

the coordination of the Hellenic Parliament representation in public ceremonies and events

the cooperation with the different institutions under Hellenic Parliament auspices

the protocol gifts offered by the Hellenic Parliament aiming at highlighting the history, philosophy, art and civilisation of Greece as well as promoting the work and the history of the Hellenic Parliament

information regarding the protocol and etiquette of the Hellenic Parliament
