Short Curriculum Vitae
Vasileios Bagiokos was born in Athens in 1972.
He is an engineer who graduated summa cum laude from the National Technical University of Athens, with an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business and the National Technical University of Athens.
He was Secretary Special of the Hellenic Parliament from 2019 to 2024.
From 2009 to 2019 he was Director of Scientific Supervision at the Scientific Service of the Parliament.
He was Special Advisor to the President of the Hellenic Parliament and Head of Office of the Secretary General of the Parliament from 2007 to 2009.
He was one of the main authors of the extensive Amendments to the Standing Orders of the Parliament, while he has been designated coordinator for the Codification of the Standing Orders of the Parliament (Parliamentary Section and Section B').
He has served as Special Advisor to the Minister of Development and Head of Office of the Ministry's Secretary General, from 2004 to 2007.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of Hellenic Petroleum S.A., and also served on the Board of Directors of OAED (Manpower Employment Organisation) for a number of years.
He has held positions of responsibility in the private sector, such as Head of the Business Development Department at Egnatia Bank S.A., as well as Advisor/MIS Analyst and Management Consulting Engineer in Business Consulting companies.
He has excellent computer skills and speaks English. He has been a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1996.
