The Secretary General: a) assists the President in managing Parliament and in discharging his duties, b) is head, second to the President, of all parliamentary departments and directorates, and c) performs duties specified in the Standing Orders as well as those assigned to him by virtue of the President’s decision.

 

The Secretary General’s office provides secretariat and administrative support services and overall assistance to the Secretary General of the Hellenic Parliament.
