Parliamentary Activities
In the elections of January 25, 2015, he was elected for the first time, as a member of the Greek parliament,
in the first region of Thessaloniki. He was reelected in the elections of September 20, 2015.
Political/Social Activities
Active by his student years, he was elected as president of the AUTH Literary Section Student Association.
Since 1989 and for 25 years he had been working as a reporter and political commentator, creating and
presenting TV and radio programs in Thessaloniki. Throughout these years he ran numerous journalistic
surveys on important political and social issues and several interviews with prominent figures in Greece
and abroad.
He also worked as a reporter and a columnist for newspapers in Thessaloniki and he was for years in
charge of the “expatriates’ news” at the Macedonian News Agency.
After the antidemocratic shutting down of the Greek public broadcaster and for the last 19 months, along
with several of his colleagues, he continued to produce television and radio programs without getting
paid, refusing to apply for uptake to NERIT, fighting for the protection of democracy, for the freedom of
the press, and for personal and professional dignity. His political TV show, the (FORBIDDEN) ‘LABYRINTH’
was the only program that never stopped broadcasting. He struggled with a view to reopening the Hellenic
Broadcasting Corporation, which was achieved on April 29, 2015, pursuant to no4324/2015 law.
