- Has worked as a freelance expert in the private sector (1991-1995) and in the banking sector (IT Division of
Alpha Bank, 1995-99). She was advisor to the General Secretary for Research & Technology on information
and communications technologies (1999-2000). In 2000 she was hired, following an open call and exam, as
Special IT Scientific Personnel in the General Secretariat for Information Systems (GSIS) under the Ministry of
Economy & Finance.

- Is a graduate of the School of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of
Thessaloniki (Greece). Has completed two postgraduate courses in the London School of Economics (MSc in
Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems) and in the Athens University of Economics and
Business (Executive MBA).

Elected MP (PASOK) in the general election of 2009.
Activités politiques/sociales
In 2002 and 2006 she was elected Prefectural Councillor in Athens and served as Vice Prefect responsible
for Works, Town Planning and the Environment. During the period 2008-2009 she was Deputy Prefect of
Athens.
Was elected MP (PASOK) for Drama in the general election of 2009 – the first woman ever to be elected an
MP in Drama.
Is an elected member of the National Council of PASOK since 2004.
