Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (ΑPF)

Among its main purposes are the promotion of democratic ideals and principles of the rule of law, fostering development and supporting mutual recognition of culture among the French-speaking countries as well as disseminating the French language.

The following Committees operate within the Assembly’s framework:

1/ Political Affairs Committee

2/ Cooperation and Development Committee

3/ Committee on Parliamentary Affairs

4/ Education, Communication and Cultural Affairs Committee

There are also three networks concerning Women, Young Parliamentarians and Fighting AIDS.

 

The Hellenic Parliament joined the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie as a fully-fledged member in July 2011 and participates with three regular members.
