He is married to lawyer Sevi Amanatidou, and father of two sons.
Profession:
Economist. Prior to his involvement in politics he worked as an economist in the private sector, in the following companies: RUSVAR HOLDINGS BV, Metaxa Distilleries S.A. and ELVAL S.A. of the Viohalco Group, where he eventually took the post of Deputy General Manager. After the 2009 elections worked again in the private sector as a business consultant in financial matters.
Études:
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Political Economy from the University of Essex, UK.

English, French and Spanish.

Activités parlementaires

He was elected MP for the constituency of Chania with Nea Demokratia in the elections of September 2007, May and June 2012.

Activités politiques/sociales

He has served as General Secretary of Commerce in the Ministry of Development in 2005-2006. In January 2010 he was appointed Secretary of New Technologies, Research and Innovation in Nea Demokratia from which he resigned in December 2011 to participate in the next parliamentary elections. He was appointed Vice Minister of Administrative Reform and E-Governance in June 2012.
