Parliamentary Activities
• At the May 6, 2012 elections, Manos Konsolas was elected as Member of Parliament for the Electoral District of Dodecanese and in the following elections,
on June 17, he was re-elected.
• At the January 25, 2015 elections, he was elected as Member of Parliament for the Electoral District of Dodecanese and was re-elected at the September
elections of the same year.
• At the elections of July 7, 2019, he was re-elected as Member of Parliament polling 17.774 votes, the highest number of votes in the Dodecanese, and he
was assigned as Deputy Minister of Tourism by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
• At the elections of May 21, 2023, and the runoff elections of June 25, 2023, he was re-elected as Member of Parliament for the Dodecanese.
• During his term as MP in the Dodecanese from 2012 to 2019, he was elected Secretary of the Standing Committee on Education and Secretary of the Special
Permanent Committee on Greeks Abroad. He has also served as a member of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, the Special Standing
Committee on Road Safety, the Standing Committee on Education Affairs, the Special Committee on Research and Technology, the Committee on
Parliamentary Library, the National Defense Committee and the Committee on Economic Affairs. He also served as President of Youth Parliament.
• From July 2019 until January 2021 he served as Deputy Minister of Tourism.
• Since January 2021, he is the President of the Special Standing Committee of the Regions of the Hellenic Parliament and of the Insular and Mountainous
Regions Subcommittee of the Committee of Regions and a member of the Committee on Economic Affairs and the Committee on Public Administration, Public
Order and Justice of the Parliament.
• During his parliamentary term from 2023 onward, he was re-elected by cross-party majority as Chairman of the Parliament’s Special Permanent Committee
on Regions, as well as Chairman of both the Subcommittee on Island Regions and the Subcommittee on Mountainous Regions, which were established as
independent entities by decision of the Plenary of the Hellenic Parliament (Government Gazette 22A/12.02.2024).
He is also Chairman of the Belgium Friendship Group.
He is a member of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, and the Standing Committee on Cultural
and Educational Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament, as well as a member of the Friendship Groups with Australia, the United States, and Serbia.
Political/Social Activities
• Manos Konsolas is a Professor at the School of Humanities of the University of the Aegean with extensive teaching, administrative, research and writing
activities in Higher Education.
• He is a scientific collaborator at institutes and government institutions and a member of international scientific and educational associations.
• He has served as President of the Municipality Council of Rhodes from 2006 to 2010.
• During his parliamentary term from 2015 to 2019, he was appointed twice as Head of the Tourism Sector for New Democracy.
