• Contributed to the development of the West Athens Hospital "Agia Varvara" as Unpaid Vice President of the Board, overseeing its reorganization and expansion from 50 to 175 beds and the establishment of Emergency Department.
• Advisor to the Deputy Ministry of Sports.
• Vice President of the Association of Football Clubs of Athens (EPSA).
• Vice President of the Shooting Federation of Greece (SKOE) and President of the Clay Target.
• Member of the Torch Relay Committee of the Hellenic Olympic Committee (EOE).
• Served as Prefect of Preveza in 1992.
• Mayor of the city of Εgaleo for eight consecutive years (2002-2010).
• During the local elections in 2006, he was re-elected mayor of the City of Egaleo from the first-round.

• Head of the Greek CoR Delegation.
• Chairman of the Natural Resources Committee (NAT) and Chairman of the Joint Advisory Committee of the CoR for Serbia.
