Married to Mrs. Smaragda Kaloveloni and they have two children.

Profession:

Since 1966 he was working as a freelance construction engineer and in 1971 he founded the company "I. Tragakis & P. Zentelis Ο.Ε.".

Studies:

A graduate of the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens and Chemist (University of Athens).

Foreign Languages:

English.

Parliamentary Activities

Elected Member of the Parliament for the region of B’ Piraeus in the “Nea Demokratia” party in the elections of 1974, 1977, June 1989, November 1989, April 1990, March 2004, September 2007, October 2009, May 2012 and June 2012.
At the elections from November 1989 till June 2012 he is constantly elected first in votes at B’ Piraeus.
In 2004, he was elected by the Parliament to serve as the 3rd Vice President of the Hellenic Parliament.
In October 2007 he was elected General Chairman of Parliamentary Group of Nea Demokratia.
In October 2009 he was re-elected General Chairman of Parliamentary Group of Nea Demokratia.
In February 2010, he was elected President of the Principles Committee.
In May 2012 and June 2012, in two successive elections, he was elected A’ Vice President of the Hellenic Parliament.
