- I was born in 1977 and come from Paleokastro of Messinia.
- Marital Status:
- I am the first daughter of the former Messinian MP Giannis Giannakopoulos and Katerina Giannakopoulou. I
am married to the actor Maximos Moumouris and have a young daughte, born in September 2008.
- Profession:
- Since September 2003, I am a lawyer in the Court of Athens. I have cooperated with several law firms and
specialized in banking, financial law and international conventions. Between February 2007 and September
2009, I worked as a lawyer by fixed fee in ATEBANK S.A., after an open call.
- Studies:
- I graduated from the public Kareas High School and completed my Bachelor studies in the Law School of
Athens. I have completed two Master courses in European Politics in the Government Department at the
London School of Economics and Political Science, and in Commercial and Banking Law at the University of
Bristol. I speak English, French and German. I have also completed my studies in playing the classic piano.
Parliamentary Activities
Elected MP (PASOK) in the general election of 2009.
Political/Social Activities
I have been a member of PASOK since 1995. During my studies, I had been an active member of PASP in
the Law School of Athens. In the 7th PASOK Conference, in 2005, I was elected in the PASOK National
Representation, being one of its three youngest members. I have been a member of the Youth Policy
Secretariat and of the Emigrant Sector. In the PASOK Youth re-establishing Conference, I have been a
member of the Central Organizational Committee of the Conference, in charge of Peloponnisos region and
member of the Conference Presidency. In the September 2007 elections, I put candidacy for an MP in the
Prefecture of Messinia, taking 15100 votes. Towards the 8th PASOK Conference, I took part in the Central
Organizational Committee as a member of the Voluntarism Secretariat and was re-elected a member of the
national Representation (third among women candidates). In October 2009, I put candidacy for a second
time in Messinia Prefecture and was elected an MP, taking 19500 votes. In my parliamentary activity, I am
a member of the Public Administration, Public Order and Justice Permanent Committee and European
Affairs Special Permanent Committee.
