State MP Georgios Stamatis in Seoul at events marking Greece's contribution during Korean War

State MP Georgios Stamatis visited South Korea from 13 to 15 November to attend the events organised by the Greek Embassy, along with the Parliament of South Korea, to honour Greece's contribution during the Korean War (1950-1953), on the occasion of the 70 years since the end of the war. 

During his stay he met with the Secretary General of the National Assembly of South Korea Lee Kwangjae and the Mayor of of the city of Yeoju Lee Choong Woo and laid a wreath at the Memorial for the fallen Greek soldiers. 

Mr Stamatis conveyed Greece's steadfast solidarity with the Republic of Korea, emphasising the strong links between the two countries, which continue to lead to increased political, economic, environmental and cultural cooperation.
