Inter-Parliamentary Committee Meeting on control of Eurojust activities

The Hellenic Parliament was represented by MPs Vassileios-Nikolas Ypsilantis and Theophilos Xanthopoulos at the annual inter-parliamentary meeting of the European Parliament and national parliaments on the control of Eurojust activities. 

The meeting was held at the European Parliament today in Brussels, with the participation of Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders and Eurojust President Ladislav Hamran, who briefed participants on the organisation's current activities and presented the annual report, while also answering questions by MPs and MEPs. 

During the discussion, the organisation's important work in the field of judicial cooperation, especially vis-à-vis cross-border and organised crime and terrorism, was highlighted, while the need to strengthen the organisation's mandate was stressed.
