Migration issue focus of meetings of delegations of Hellenic and Swedish Parliaments at Hellenic Parliament

The 1st Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis, met today with a delegation of MPs from the Social Security Committee of the Swedish Parliament headed by its Chair Mr Viktor Wärnick, on the topic of current developments in migration and asylum issues.

The need for effective border protection and the intensification of returns, the importance of combating the networks of smuggling of illegal immigrants, as well as the strengthening of relations with third countries of origin and transit of migrants, stressed, among other things, the 1st Vice-President of the Parliament.
