Meeting of Chairperson of Educational Affairs Committee and Chairperson of Greece-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group with Chairperson of Educational Affairs Committee of Parliament of Georgia

The Chairman of the Standing Committee on Educational Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament Vassileios Digalakis and the Chairman of the Greece-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group Dimitrios Kouvelas met with the Chairwoman of the Educational Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Eliso Bolkvadze in the presence of the Ambassador of Georgia in Athens David Dondua. 

The Greek MPs referred to the possibilities of strengthening the already very good relations between the two countries, both through cooperation between Universities, student exchanges and the implementation of educational programmes, as well as through the activities of the Georgian diaspora in Greece. 

The Georgian MP and the Ambassador of Georgia in Athens spoke about the important role of education and culture in strengthening relations between the two peoples, about the Embassy's actions in promoting translations of Greek books in the Georgian language and vice versa, while they also referred to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Greece and Georgia in 2022.
