Online meeting of Cuba-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Groups

The confirmation of the traditional very good bilateral and friendly relations between Greece and Cuba were at the forefront of today's online meeting between the Greece-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Groups.

Coordinator of the online meeting was the Chairman of the Greece-Cuba Friendship Group Dionysis Aktypis and during the meeting reference was made to the good cooperation between the two countries on issues of mutual support for candidacies at International Organisations, as well as to Greece's firm position in favour of lifting the economic blockade against Cuba.

The leading position that Cuba holds globally in the pharmaceutical and medical sector was underlined. 

Concluding their online meeting the two Chairpersons of the Friendship Groups agreed that meetings and teleconferences contribute to strengthening bilateral dialogue and cooperation. 

The online meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Greece in Havana Stella Bezirtzoglou and the Ambassador of Cuba in Athens Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina.
