Greece - Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group meets with new Ambassador of Thailand in Athens

The exceptional level of relations of traditional friendship and trust between Greece and Thailand was confirmed during today’s meeting of the Greece – Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group, chaired by Dimitris Vagenas, with the new Ambassador of Thailand in Athens Attakarn Wongchanamas.  

From the Greek side the meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chair of the Friendship Group Ekaterini Monogiou and the member Ioannis-Michail Loverdos.

During the discussion, the paramount importance of further strengthening the relations between the two countries, through cooperation and exchange of know-how, in the investment sector, in Green Growth and Renewable Energy Resources, was noted.

Considering that the Thai economy relies heavily on the tourism industry, the country has taken all necessary measures to welcome a large number of tourists from around the world, as the Ambassador underlined.

Both sides pledged to exchange visits of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups as soon as conditions allow.
