Place and Date οf Birth:: George Georgantas was born on 7th of May 1967 in Agia Paraskevi, Kilkis
Marital Status:: He is married with Euthimia Koliouska and he is father of two.
Profession:: He has been working as a trial attorney since 1992. He has also served as chairman of the Bar Association of Kilkis.
Studies:: He studied Law at Democritus University of Thrace.

Parliamentary Activities

Georgios Georgantas serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Hellenic Parliament since July 2023, as well as Chairman of the Special Permanent Committee on Parliamentary Ethics.

He has previously served as Minister of Rural Development and Food for the period February 2022 - May 2023, Deputy Minister of Digital Governance from July 2019 to February 2022 and Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs in 2014. Between 2016 and 2019 he was appointed to the role of Manager of Administrative Reconstruction for the ‘New Democracy’ party.

Georgios Georgantas is an active parliamentarian, having participated in various Parliamentary Committees. He has played a key role as member of the Committee of Inquiry into the health scandals during the years 1997-2014 and of the Preliminary Examination Committee on the NOVARTIS case.
