Social & Preventive Medicine, and Medical Statistics."
He founded the Postgraduate Program at the School of Medicine titled “Applied Nutrition and Health Promotion,” and is responsible for the compulsory course
“Clinical Nutrition” (5th year) and the elective course “Principles of Clinical Nutrition” (3rd year).
He is the director of the WHO Collaborating Center for Quality of Life and Wellbeing.
He has been a scientific coordinator in numerous research projects funded both in Greece and abroad.
Additionally, he is responsible for the foundation and coordination of the scientific team Nutriclab. He has participated in the administrative bodies of Greek and
international organizations and is a co-founder of the internationally awarded Hellenic Society of Medical/Clinical Nutrition & Metabolism (GrESPEN).

- He holds two degrees (Department of "Dietetic Science and Nutrition" at Harokopio University of Athens
and the School of Medicine,
Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a master's degree from the National
School of Public Health (MSc in
Public Health).
He was a scholar of the “Spyros Harokopos and Evan. Harokopos-Petroutsis” Foundation during his
doctoral studies.
He holds a specialization in General/Family Medicine and worked at the Division of Metabolic and
Nutritional Medicine (Dr. von Hauner
Children’s Hospital at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich) during 2013-14.

Parliamentary Activities
Elected as a Member of Parliament for the Thessaloniki Α district (June 2023) with the PLEFSI ELEFTHERIAS party and has been an independent MP since
October 2023.
During his parliamentary term, he has been/is a member of the following committees:
• Member of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs,
• Member of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs,
• Member of the Special Permanent Committee on Parliamentary Ethics,
• Member of the Special Permanent Committee on Road Safety,
• Member of the Subcommittee for Monitoring the Social Security System
• Member of the Republic of Korea Friendship Group
In October 2024, he was chosen by independent MPs to represent them at the Conference of Presidents of the House of Representatives, of which he has
been a regular member ever since.
Political/Social Activities
In all Excellence Awards by the Deanery of the School of Health Sciences (2017-2024), he has received
multiple awards each time, related to
his scientific, research, and academic work, making him the most awarded faculty member of the School
with a total of over 30 awards.
