Born in Rhodes in 1972 and descending from Symi Island.
Marital Status:
He is married to Matina Chatzimarkou and he is father of two young children.
He studied chemical engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and acquired a long- time working experience in the private and public sector, mainly in the field of environmental impact studies and consultancy.

Political/Social Activities

Since 2000, he has worked in the Department of Strategic Planning of the Municipality of Rhodes, principally performing duties concerning project studies and proposals for the inclusion of projects in European and national co-financed programmes (2nd and 3rd Community Support Frameworks/KPS, National Strategic Reference Framework/ESPA, INTERREG, URBAN etc. and Theseus, EPTA, Green Fund etc. correspondingly). He was elected and served as Vice-president and Secretary of the Board of the Pan-Hellenic Federation of University Graduate Engineer Civil Servant Unions (EMDYDAS) and he is currently Delegation Member of the Pan-Hellenic Federation. While still a high-school student, he became active in the Left, later member of SYNASPISMOS, while, from 2008 until 2014 he became Co-ordinator of the SYRIZA Regional Committee for South Dodecanese. He has also served as member of the Regional Council of the South Aegean (2012-2014) with the “Citizens against weather” party and Member of the Financial Committee of the South Aegean Region (2013-2014).
