Parliamentary Activities

In the parliamentary elections of 2012 he was elected for the first time as a New Democracy MP. He was re- elected in the parliamentary elections of 2015 (twice) and 2019 as a New Democracy MP for the constituency of Lesvos.

Political/Social Activities

- June 2012 till June 2013: He was appointed Deputy Minister for the Interior
- June 2013 till January 2015: Ηe was appointed Minister of Justice.
- Since the 15th of July 2019, he has been elected as 2nd Vice President of the Hellenic Parliament.
