Angelos Tsigris was born in 1966.

Ηe is a lawyer in Areios Pagos Supreme Court of Greece.
Studies:
He studied Law at Democritus University of Thrace, Sociology at Panteion University and he has a PHD in criminology.

Parliamentary Activities

He has been elected first in votes as a representative of New Democracy Party for the Greek Parliament in Achaia County.

Political/Social Activities

He was elected as a member of the Hellenic Parliament (first in votes) in the elections of 2019 with New Democracy Political Party.
He is a lawyer, he teaches Criminology and Anti – Crime Policy in Greece and Cyprus and he is a member of the Hellenic Parliament with New Democracy political party.
He is the author of 14 books and dozens of law surveys and articles which have been published in well- known scientific magazines of Greece and abroad. Formerly, he was the Secretary – General for Counter – Crime Policy of the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights.
On May 2014, he served as a chief of the Central Prevention Council for Delinquency at the Ministry of Citizen Protection. He was a special advisor at the Ministry of Justice for correctional facilities, unpaid science cooperator in permanent interparty committee of the Hellenic Parliament for the examination of the Correctional System, vice – president of the Hellenic group for the designing of the National Criminal Justice Policy and scientifically responsible of the committee against human trafficking for the Ministry of Citizen Protection.
Furthermore, he was representative Greece in the permanent committee of cooperation for Homeland Security Commission in Europe (Committee on Operational Cooperation on Internal Security – COSI), in the Network of Crime Prevention at the European Union and in permanent delegation of The United Nations for Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
