Parliamentary Activities
At the May 6, 2012 elections, Manos Konsolas was elected as Member of Parliament for the Electoral
District of Dodecanese and in the following elections, on June 17, he was re-elected.
At the January 25, 2015 elections, he was elected as Member of Parliament for the Electoral District of
Dodecanese and was re-elected at the September elections of the same year.
At the elections of July 7, 2019, he was re-elected as Member of Parliament polling 17.774 votes, the
highest number of votes in the Dodecanese, and he was assigned as Deputy Minister of Tourism by Prime
Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
During his term as MP in the Dodecanese from 2012 to 2019, he was elected Secretary of the Standing
Committee on Education and Secretary of the Special Permanent Committee on Greeks Abroad. He has
also served as a member of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, the Special Standing
Committee on Road Safety, the Standing Committee on Education Affairs, the Special Committee on
Research and Technology, the Committee on Parliamentary Library, the National Defense Committee and
the Committee on Economic Affairs. He also served as President of Youth Parliament.
Political/Social Activities
Manos Konsolas is Deputy Minister of Tourism and Member of the Parliament for the Electoral District of
Dodecanese of “New Democracy”, the liberal-conservative center-right political party in Greece..
Since March 18, 2015, he has been appointed, twice, Shadow Minister for the Tourism Sector of “New
Democracy” party, by its President, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis..
He has served as President of the Municipality Council of Rhodes from 2006 to 2010.
He is also an Associate Professor at the School of Humanities of the University of the Aegean. With his
valuable experience in education, he has developed a valuable teaching, administrative, research and
writing activity in Higher Education. He is a scientific collaborator at institutes and government institutions
and a member of international scientific and educational associations.
