Self-made entrepreneur in many areas such as tourism, sports with great distinctions and successes.
He distinguished himself in bodybuilding competitions in 1983 and 1984 and in 1985 he won the Pan- Cretan title "Mister Crete".
He has competed in the past in competitions for the "Mister Greece" of the IFBB and WABBA, where he won the title of Greek champion for two (2) consecutive years (1988 - 1989) in the middleweight division.
He has been involved in public affairs and politics since 1990.
In addition to his political activities, he has had and continues to have other activities, such as being the Superintendent of Athletics at the General Sports Council of Heraklion, Crete and being a Member of the Literary Association of Heraklion, Crete. He wrote articles for many years in local newspapers with sports content. He speaks English and Italian.
His many years in politics characterize him as a man and politician with dignity and ethics.

Parliamentary Activities

In 2012, he was an Executive and President of the coordinating body of the Political Party "Independent Greeks" (AN.ELL.) as well as a founding Member of the Political Party "Nea Mera" with President Christos Zois (former Minister of the Interior) as well as a press representative in Crete of the former Minister Byron Polydoras of the party "Union for the Fatherland and the People".
In the 2019 Parliamentary Elections, he was a candidate for MP for Heraklion, Crete with the "Hellenic Solution".
He left the "Hellenic Solution" in 2023 and in the June elections of the same year he ran for the "Spartiates" political party and was elected as a member of parliament in the Heraklion Prefecture of Crete.
He became independent on June 25, 2024, speaking about controlling the finances of the Parliamentary Group of which he served as Director.

Political/Social Activities

As an independent MP, Michalis Gavgiotakis, on July 17, 2024, announced the establishment of the party "National Rally - PA.R.O.N." (Patriotic Radical Momentum of Victory).
On his own initiative, in collaboration with political figures of the national patriotic space and inspired by the Greek cultural, religious and humanitarian heritage of the Nation from which all the universal values of inviolable and inalienable human rights, freedom, Democracy, education, equality and the Rule of Law were developed, the Patriotic Social Movement "National Rally - PA.R.O.N." was created, having as its main goal the unity of patriotic political actors for the Nation, the Homeland, the Greeks.
A politician with deeply engraved values and ideals with which he lives and embodies for the Homeland, religion and family.
He states that our homeland is the womb of every mother who gives birth to her child. It is every inch of its sacred soil that some sacrificed and shed their blood on these soils, just as a mother sheds her blood to give birth to her children.
The homeland is the life of every Greek child born on these sacred soils.
Our religion considers that it is the sacred and sacred that protect us and define our existence throughout the centuries and the family sustains us, nurtures us, preserves us and recreates us.
He has not ceased and will never cease to be a defender of traditional values and institutions
. The patriotic social movement NATIONAL RALLY – PA.R.O.N. has as its guiding principle the triptych HOMELAND- RELIGION- FAMILY and is realized within society and not in politics by concluding a social contract with Greek citizens and always with the guiding principle that the “blue” is “one” the HOMELAND is “one”.
