Place and Date οf Birth:: He was born in Karditsa on 2.7.1966.
Marital Status:: He is married to Aggeliki Stergiouli.
Profession:: Doctor (MD) – Microbiologist – Biopathologist.
Studies:: Graduate from the School of Medicine, Dimokriteion University of Thrace. He holds a specialisation title in Microbiology-Biopathology. Doctorate from the Medical School of Athens University and postgraduate training at university centres in Sweden in the field of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization).

Parliamentary Activities

He was elected MP in Karditsa with ND in the election in 2004, in 2007 and in 2009.
He participated in the Standing Committee on Social Affairs, in the Committee on Equality & Human Rights and in the Orthodox Committee.

Political/Social Activities

As a student, he was a member of DAP (ND students’ movement), chairman of ND Local Committee (1991- 1994) in charge of the quality of life of ND Committee for the Prefecture of Karditsa (1991-1994). He founded the Hellenic American Friendship Association of Karditsa and in the period 1992-1993 he was the President of the Primary Health Care Employees’ Association of Karditsa. He was founding member of the Studies Institute in Karditsa. On 4.11.2004 he was elected Deputy Head for the Health and Social Solidarity sector.
