Bachelor Degree in Law from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (1997), Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial and Corporate Law, Kings College, University of London (1998) and Master’s degree in International Relations(GMAP) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University -Boston (2006).

Parliamentary Activities

Minister of Tourism of the Greek Government (2012-2015).
Elected Member of the Parliament (Rethymnon - Crete constituency) in 2007 and 2009. Since 2012, she has been elected first on the New Democracy ballot in the constituency of A’ Athens for three consecutive times (May 2012, January 2015, and July 2019).
Member of the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs, the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, the Special Permanent Committee on Institutions and Transparency, the Committee on European Affairs, as well as the Committee on Defense Programs and Contracts.
She is head of the Greek Parliament Delegation in I.P.U. (Inter-parliamentary Union).

Political/Social Activities

Member of the Athens Bar Association since 1999. She has a twenty-year professional experience as associate-lawyer in major law firms in Athens and in New York and as legal advisor to various corporations.
She has also worked at the legal Services of the EuropeanCommission in Brussels.
During 2004-2006, she served as legal advisor to the Prime Minister of Greece Mr. Kostas Karamanlis.
She is the author of the book “The role of the European Union in the Cyprus issue”.
Since 2019 she is the Ambassador of Hope Genesis, an NGO committed to improve birth rates in Greece.
