President of Parliament meets with Ambassador of Republic of Armenia

The President of the Hellenic Parliament Constantine Tassoulas met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mkrtchyan.

The Ambassador of Armenia briefed the President of the Parliament on recent developments in Nagorno Karabakh, emphasising in particular the issue of the substantial number of refugees. 

Mr Tassoulas said that the composition of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between the two states is soon to be announed and that this will allow the exchange of views on issues of common interest. 

During the meeting the possibility for the two Parliaments to exchange visits of Presidents of Parliament was considered, the details of which will be established via diplomatic channels.
