Hellenic Parliament marks "Day of Remembrance of Greek Jewish martyrs and heroes of the Holocaust"

With an anniversary reference to the "Day of Remembrance of the Greek Jewish Martyrs and Heroes of the Holocaust" and with the observance of a minute's silence in the Plenary, the Hellenic Parliament today honoured the Jewish martyrs of the concentration camps of Nazi Germany.

On behalf of the Presidium of the Parliament, the 3rd Vice-President, Mr. Athanasios Bouras, delivered the commemorative speech, stressing that "the Holocaust of the Jews is the biggest group crime in the history of humanity and an insane truth. The duty of remembrance is also a duty of responsibility both to history and to the new generations".
