President of Parliament meets with WHIA(PADEE) President and Governing Board members

The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Nikitas Kaklamanis, received today the President, Mr Leonidas Raptakis, and the members of the Board of Directors of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association (WHIA/PADEE)

Also in attendance at the meeting were the First Vice-President of the WHIA. Ms Effie Triantafilopoulos, a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Canada; the Second Vice-President of the WHIA, Mr Steve Georganas, Federal Member of Parliament for Adelaide, Australia; and members of the Board of Directors of the WHIA: Ms Kat Theophanous from Australia, Ms Annie Koutrakis from Canada, Mr Steven Malagari and Ms Nicole Klarides-Ditria from the United States.

From the Hellenic Parliament, those present included the Chair of the Special Standing Committee on the Hellenism of the Diaspora, Mr Filippos Fortomas; the Secretary General of the Parliament, Mr Vasileios Bagiokos; and the Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Ambassador Constantine Economides.

This meeting was preceded by a meeting between the President and members of the Board of Directors of the WHIA and the Chairof the Committee on Hellenism of the Diaspora, Mr F. Fortomas, together with the Deputy Chair, Mr G. Nikitiadis.
