President of Parliament meets with members of Executive Committee of Inter-Parliamentary Union

Members of the Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) met today with the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis. They had held a meeting in Ilia earlier under the auspices of the Hellenic Parliament.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Union, Mr Martin Chungong (Cameroon), the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Australia, Mr Milton Dick, the Chair of the Bureau of Young Parliamentarians, Mrs Nour Abu Ghoush (Jordan), Mrs Mikayilova Sevil (Azerbaijan), Mr Khelifati Kamel (Algeria). They discussed the role of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and parliamentary diplomacy in the struggle to defend peace and democratic parliamentary values around the world.
