1st Vice-President of Hellenic Parliament, Chairperson of Economic Affairs Committee and Chairperson of Vietnam-Greece Friendship Group meet with Chairperson of Economy and Budget Committee of National Assembly of Vietnam

The excellent level of friendship, trust and cooperation between Greece and Vietnam was highlighted during today's meeting of the 1st Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament Nikitas Kaklamanis, the Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee Stavros Kalogiannis and the Chairman of the Greece-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group Christos Tarantilis with the Chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly Finance and Budget Committee and head of the Vietnamese delegation Nguyen Phu Cuong. The Vietnamese delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Vietnam in Athens Le Hong Truong.
The discussion mostly focused on issues of economic interest. The Vietnamese delegation asked to be informed on a wide range of issues, such as Budget preparation and voting, inflation rates and the contribution prospects of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund regarding the country’s economic potential for the period 2021 to 2026. In the course of the debate, the Greek MPs highlighted the growing prospects of economic relations between Greece and Vietnam, also underlining their further development potential, through strengthening cooperation in the sectors of trade, shipping, tourism, infrastructure, renewable energy sources and education.
