Delegation of Tunisia–Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group visits Hellenic Parliament

Members of the Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament and of the Greece–Tunisia Parliamentary Friendship Group today welcomed to the Hellenic Parliament a four-member delegation of the Tunisia–Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group, which is paying a two-day official visit to Athens.

During their first meeting with the Tunisian parliamentarians, the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs, Mr Dimitris Kairidis, and Committee member Mr Dimitris Mantzos, underscored the enduring importance of parliamentary diplomacy as an essential channel of communication between peoples. They stressed that the longstanding historical and cultural ties between Greece and Tunisia provide a strong foundation for the further deepening of bilateral relations.
