In an atmosphere of deep emotion, N. Kaklamanis addresses House of Representatives of Republic of Cyprus: “We owe it to the heroes who fell during the ‘Attila Operation’ Turkish invasion to remain united in the struggle for a free Cyprus, without occupying troops.”

“My vision, throughout all the positions I have held by the will of the Greek people, and now as President of the Hellenic Parliament, has always been to see the Republic of Cyprus reunited, for the benefit of all Cypriots. This is the duty that Greece and its political forces ought to fulfill at the very least ... ”

With these words, the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Nikitas Kaklamanis, delivered a message of unwavering support for Cyprus during his address to the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus in Nicosia.

The speech formed part of his first official visit abroad since assuming office, — a visit traditionally made to Cyprus.
