Third NATO Parliamentary Assembly Summit Concludes

The proceedings of the 3rd NATO Parliamentary Assembly Summit in Istanbul concluded today.

On behalf of the Hellenic Parliament, the Summit was attended by MPs Dimitrios Kairidis, deputy head of the Greek delegation to the NATO PA, and member Spyridon Kyriakis.

In their interventions, the participants focused on the increased strategic importance of the Alliance, the strengthening of NATO-EU cooperation, the need to boost defence spending and the defence industry, as well as maintaining the cohesion of the transatlantic relationship.
