Joint Meeting of Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group (GSM) and Subcommittee (CDSRCS) of NATO PA

The joint visit to Madrid and Melilla, Spain, of members of the Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group (GSM) and the Sub-Committee on Resilience and Civil Security (CDSRCS) of the Committee on Democracy and Security (CDS) of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, has concluded. The discussions, held from 24 to 27 September, focused on issues such as irregular migration, support for Ukraine, countering terrorism and cyber attacks, energy security, and challenges in the Sahel region.

The Greek delegation included MPs Dimitris Kairidis, Deputy Head of the Greek delegation, and Michalis Katrinis, member. During the proceedings of the two committees, elections were held for the GSM Bureau, where, on the proposal of Mr Kairidis, MP Nikos Panagiotopoulos, Head of the Greek delegation to the NATO PA, was unanimously elected Deputy Chair.
