Delegation from National Defence and Foreign Affairs Committee meets with parliamentary delegation from Canada
A delegation of the Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament met today with a parliamentary delegation from Canada (four Members of Parliament and two Senators), responsible for issues relating to EU–Canada relations, in the context of their visit to Greece.
The two sides exchanged views on issues such as bilateral relations, regional dynamics and Greece’s international role, economic cooperation, international trade, the EU–Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), security in the region of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, as well as cooperation in the field of defence and security. Special reference was also made to the role of the Greek diaspora in Canada.
