1st Vice-President of Parliament meets with Ambassador of Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Greece

The excellent level of friendship, trust and cooperation between Greece and Vietnam was confirmed during today's meeting between the 1st Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament Ioannis Plakiotakis and the Ambassador of Vietnam to Athens Le Hong Truong.

It was established once again that the relations between Greece and Vietnam are in a state of ongoing mobility and that there is room for further improvement in the relations between the two countries through the strengthening of cooperation in many areas, such as trade, tourism, infrastructure, renewable energy and especially in the maritime sector.

Special reference was made to the mutual agreements for the recognition of seafarers' certificates of competency and the avoidance of double taxation as well as the upcoming visit of the Vietnamese Minister of Transport to Greece.

During the meeting, it was also concluded that there is a convergence of views on both bilateral and international issues and the two sides agreed to strengthen their cooperation with contacts and visits at both the parliamentary as well as the governmental level.
