9th Plenary Session of South-East European Cooperation Process Parliamentary Assembly at Hellenic Parliament

The Hellenic Parliaments is organising and hosting on the 1st and 2nd of June the 9th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP PA), in the framework of the Greek Chairmanship-in-Office of this regional organisation, which concludes in June 2022. 

It is the first time that the Pleanary Session is taking place in Athens, where 80 parliamentary representatives, among which Presidents/Speakers of legislative bodies, from Ankara, Bucharest, Zagreb, Chisinau, Ljublijana, Podgorica, Pristina, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia and Tirana. 

On Wednesday, the 1st of June, the following committees of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East Europe Cooperation Process will convene in the Senate Hall: General Committee on Social Development, Education, Research and Science, General Committee on Justice, Home Affairs and Security Cooperation, General Committee on Economy, Infrastructure and Energy, as well as the SEECP PA Standing Committee.

On Thursday, the 2nd of June, the 9th SEECP PA Plenary Session will convene in the Senate Hall. The President of the Hellenic Parliament Constantine Tassoulas will deliver the opening speech at 10:00 am.

The central theme of the Session is "Sustainable development goals for the environment. Crisis impact on SE Europe's: a) energy supply security and b) the agri-food chain."

The Session will be broadcast live via the Hellenic Parliament TV online platform (web TV).
