N. Kaklamanis: “Dialogue between Parliaments is an invaluable instrument for promoting peace and strengthening respect for International Law"

The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Nikitas Kaklamanis, highlighted the role of elected members of the Greek Diaspora as powerful advocates of dialogue and vital links between the homeland and the international community, helping to preserve the Greek language, historical memory and cultural traditions. He made these remarks at the 30th Anniversary General Assembly of the World Inter-Parliamentary Union of Hellenism (WHIA- PADEE), held in the Senate Chamber under the presidency of United States State Senator Mr Leonidas Raptakis.

In declaring the opening of the anniversary assembly, Mr Kaklamanis referred to the completion of thirty years of the institution's consistent and productive contribution to the service of Hellenism worldwide.
