Address by President of Hellenic Parliament during meeting with Germany-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group

The dynamic development of Greek-German relations at the parliamentary and diplomatic level, allowing the two countries to jointly address the enormous modern challenges for Europe (environmental, war in Ukraine and the Middle East), were emphasized by the President of the Hellenic Parliament Mr Constantine Tassoulas at a meeting held today in the Hellenic Parliament with a delegation from the Germany-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group.

"Parliamentary diplomacy is something that plays an important, perhaps less noisy role in the international relations of countries. It is a direct form of relations, because the members of parliament, the parliamentarians directly represent their peoples..." said Mr Tasoulas, who then underlined the common paths that Greece and Germany should walk together.
