Chair of Greece-Portugal Parliamentary Friendship Group holds formal meeting with new Ambassador of Portugal to Athens

Yesterday the Chair of the Greece-Portugal Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr George Stamatis, had a formal meeting with the new Ambassador of Portugal to Greece, Mr Rui Macieira.

During the brief discussion were reaffirmed the excellent relations between the two countries, which are based on a broad convergence of views on a number of international and European issues, while interest was expressed by both sides to deepen bilateral relations through systematic meetings of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups, either in person or remotely, on the basis of existing agreements in the framework of bilateral cooperation.
