Meeting of Chairman of Greece-China Parliamentary Friendship Group with Ambassador of China in Athens

 The long-standing and warm friendship that connects the two countries was confirmed at today's meeting between the Chairman of the Greece-China Parliamentary Friendship Group Ioannis Tragakis and the Ambassador of China in Athens Xiao Junzheng.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the close and long-term cooperation between Greece and China in the Olympic Games, as well the mutual wish for further activity in organising joint cultural events. 

Mr Tragakis and Mr Junzheng referred to the many and open prospects between the two countries and to the further deepening of economic relations. In this context, special reference was made to the shipping and commercial sectors, as well as to the possibility of increasing exports of Greek Products to China. Optimism was also expressed for strengthening relations in the field of tourism, despite difficulties posed the pandemic.
