Meeting of I. Plakiotakis with President of Parliament of Armenia
The 1st Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament Ioannis Plakiotakis, met today in Dublin with Alen Simonyan, President of the National Assembly of Armenia, in the framework of the Council of Europe’s European Conference of Presidents of Parliament, on the consequences of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the role of national parliaments in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
The Armenian President briefed Mr Plakiotakis on recent developments in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
The two sides confirmed the excellent level of relations between the two countries and agreed to further strengthen the cooperation between the Parliaments, mainly through the Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
