Meeting of Special Permanent Committee on Equality, Youth and Human Rights of the Hellenic Parliament

          

On the occasion of the 10th of December, International Human Rights Day, a meeting of the Special Permanent Committee on Equality, Youth and Human Rights of the Hellenic Parliament, was held on the topic "Children's rights: Shaping their future", in the Senate Hall of the Parliament, chaired by Maria Antoniou, MP of Kastoria.

The main speakers at the meeting were the Regional Director of UNICEF for Europe and Central Asia Mrs Regina De Dominicis and the UNICEF Diplomatic Representative in Greece Dr Ghassan Khalil, who spoke extensively about actions for the protection of children's rights that the International Organisation implements in our country, in cooperation with the Greek government and other social, educational, scientific and research institutions.
