Opening of Exhibition "Beholding Liberty! At the Hellenic Parliament, two centuries later" today

The anniversary exhibition of the Hellenic Parliament “Beholding Liberty! At the Hellenic Parliament, two centuries later” is inaugurated today. The opening ceremony will take place in the Parliament’s Plenary Hall at 18:00, in the presence of the country’s State and political leadership, the leaders and representatives of the political parties in parliament, the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece.

The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Constantine Tassoulas will deliver a welcome address.

The speakers will be:

The President of the Republic, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou

The President of the “Greece 2021” Committee, Mrs. Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki

The Professor and member of the Exhibition’s Scientific Committee, Mr. Paschalis Kitromilidis

The Exhibition will be presented by one of its Curators, Mr. Theodoros Koutsogiannis

The following will grace the celebratory event with their presence: The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Cyprus to Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Kenevezos, the Ambassador of Russia, Mr. Andrey Maslov, the Ambassador of France, Mr. Patrick Maisonavve and the Ambassador of Portugal – which currently holds the EU Council Presidency -, Mrs. Helena Alexandra Andrade. The Head of the Office of the European Parliament in Greece, Mr. Constantinos Tsoutsoplidis.

The event will be attended by the President of the Onassis Foundation – major sponsor of the exhibition – Mr. Antonis Papadimitriou.
