The Head of the Hellenic Parliament's delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) and Vice-President of the Assembly, Ms Sofia Voultepsi, emphasised the importance of interstate cooperation and of building relations of trust between countries with different approaches, during a conference organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to mark Greece's assumption of the Presidency of the Organisation and the PABSEC. The conference was co-organised with the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) under the theme: "Promoting Connectivity in the Wider Black Sea Region – Priorities of the Greek Presidency of the BSEC Organisation."

As the keynote speaker, Ms Voultepsi underlined that Greece secured the position of Vice-President of the Assembly in June 2025, following a proposal by Türkiye, Bulgaria and North Macedonia, highlighting the importance of interstate cooperation and of building relations of trust, even between countries with different starting points and approaches.
