Common will to reinvigorate and strengthen bilateral parliamentary relations between Hellenic Parliament and Shura Council of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

A spirit of consensus on addressing common challenges in an array of issues was established during the first official visit, after at least a decade, by a Hellenic Parliament parliamentary delegation to Saudi Arabia on 22 and 23 April 2024. 

The visit was made by the 1st Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament, Ioannis Plakiotakis, who headed a delegation in which participated the Deputy Chair of the Greece-Saudi Arabia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Vasilleios Giogakas, following an invitation by the Vice-President of the Shura Council, Dr Mishaal Mohammad Alsulami and the Chair of the Saudi Arabia-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group, Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Alqannas. The Greek delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Greece to Riyadh, Alexis Konstantopoulos.
