Meeting of President of Hellenic Parliament with Speaker of House of Representatives of Jordan – N. Kaklamanis: “Greece and Jordan: Two countries of stability and peace in the Southeastern Mediterranean and the Middle East” – Mazen Turki S’Aoud El Qadi: “Greece, Cyprus and Jordan share a commitment to respect for International Law”

The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Nikitas Kaklamanis, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr Mazen Turki S’Aoud El Qadi, reaffirmed the excellent level of relations between Greece and Jordan at all levels, as well as their shared emphasis on the need to uphold international law on all fronts of the ongoing crises in the turbulent times we are living through. Mr El Qadi visited the Hellenic Parliament today, accompanied by a broad parliamentary delegation, as part of his official visit to Greece.

Welcoming his Jordanian counterpart, Mr N. Kaklamanis referred to the “high level of relations between Greece and Jordan in many areas, such as the economy, trade, health, education and tourism”, stressing that “above all, they are two countries of stability and peace in the Southeastern Mediterranean and the Middle East”. He also referred to the fact that “Jordan is geographically situated in a troubled region, but stands out as an example of democracy and peace”.
