Ambassador of Spain hosts working lunch for members of Greece-Spain Parliamentary Friendship Group

The common understanding between Greece and Spain for the course of a united Europe, due also to the upcoming European elections, was confirmed at a working lunch hosted by the Ambassador of Spain to Athens Carles María Casajuana Palet, to the Second Vice-President of the Parliament and Chair of the Greece-Spain Friendship Group Georgios Georganta. 

The two men had the opportunity to discuss a number of current issues, such as the need to shield the rural economy against the effects of climate change, as well as the proven effectiveness of digitisation in the organisation of state structures.

Finally, the two parties, on the basis of their long-standing and close cooperation, both at the level of bilateral contacts as well as in a European framework, agreed to exchange views on all issues of common interest.

The working lunch was also attended by the member of the Friendship Group Aristotelis Spanias.
