Second Plenary of Conference on Future of Europe. Dimitris Kairidis to chair “working group on migration”
The work of the Second Plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe will launch tomorrow Thursday, 21 October, with the meeting of the representatives of national parliaments in Strasbourg. Representing the Hellenic Parliament in Strasbourg will be Dimitris Kairidis, while Marietta Giannakou, Yannis Bournous and George Papandreou will participate remotely.
In the framework of the Conference and in order to address the key issues of concern to European citizens, nine working groups have been set up, two of which (Migration and Digital Transformation) will be chaired by representatives of national parliaments.
Following the unanimous decision of all participating MPs, the Greek MP Dimitris Kairidis will co-chair the working group on migration with Italian Senator Alessandro Alfieri. The working groups will meet on Friday 22 October and the Greek MPs will participate in the ones on Digital Transformation (M. Giannakou), European Democracy (Y. Bournous) and Education, Culture, Youth and Sports (G. Papandreou).
The work will conclude with the Plenary Session on Saturday 23 October.
